I didn't go to the closing event because I'm not big on closers.
I made it to two other talks today, both were great. I was most impressed with co-W.A.R's, the co-founder of WAR actually, Camilla Hankins, who spoke well and is someone I would be thrilled to work alongside with. She's from N.J.- at least I assume since she goes to weekly demos at the HLS over there. Also, the accent gives it away.
I tried finding her speech on YouTube but I've had no luck- granted I just left the talk about 30 minutes ago. This is an older speech I found from her:
I also learned about radical cheerleaders, which was something I didn't know about. Granted I don't see myself becoming a radical cheerleader, I still found it interesting. I don't think that Cheer leading at an event like in front of a vivisection lab is respectful but in certain cases, I think it could be great. In the case of the circus, since children are around, I can see this as being very effective.
Kind of odd and funny- not sure how I feel about it...not sure if I care about it.
